Dr. Julie Sarton is a leading pelvic floor expert and founder of Sarton Pelvic Healing. Since 2011, she has welcomed patients from across the nation and internationally, driven by her vision of creating a clinic where patients can receive comprehensive care under one roof. Today, Sarton Pelvic Healing is the only pelvic floor physical therapy clinic in Southern California with a multidisciplinary team that includes pelvic floor physical therapists, a neurogastroenterologist, osteopath, lactation consultant, acupuncturist, guided imagery therapist, Redcord-certified specialist, and master Pilates instructor.

Julie previously founded and directed the Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Program at UC Irvine School of Medicine, where she collaborated with urogynecologists and OB-GYNs and created one of the first Pelvic Health Fellowships, training many of today’s leaders in the field. With over 30 years of experience, she was among the first advanced board-certified pelvic PTs in the U.S. and has successfully treated thousands of complex cases.

Her expertise is reflected in publications in The Journal of Sexual Medicine and Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, national lectures ranging from the American College of Gynecology to Canyon Ranch, and media appearances on the Discovery Health Channel. Passionate about advancing the profession, she has taught in Chapman University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program and co-founded both the Pelvic Floor Sexual Medicine Conference and the Pelvic Education Alliance.
