About Joanne

Please welcome Joanne to the Pelvic Healing Team here at Sarton Physical Therapy.

Joanne adds a new dimension to the Sarton team by integrating her knowledge and active instruction of yoga, dance and fitness into her treatment approach with patients. A physical therapist for more than twenty years and mother of three, Joanne leverages her extensive life experience and perspective into understanding how pelvic issues affect individuals—not only on a physical level, but also on an emotional and global level.

She is a strong believer in both women and men feeling empowered and confident about their bodies and consequent health. Pelvic health rehabilitation allows Joanne to share her specialized therapy niche techniques, integrate her knowledge of yoga and fitness into therapeutic treatment practices, and educate patients how to improve physical health and well being.

Joanne likes to spend her free time with her husband, Andy, and three children Jarett, Jamie and Braden. She enjoys dancing, hiking, yoga, and the beach.

Changed Lives

When I first started coming to Sarton for pelvic floor physical therapy, I could hardly use the restroom without a burning sensation and not being able to fully empty my bladder. My muscles were so tight and contracted. After seeing Joanne (JoJo) I can now pee on my own without any pain and I feel as if my bladder has been empty. Also, I no longer have pain during sex. My muscles are pretty much healed and back to normal. Joanne has been such an amazing therapist. I couldn’t ask for anything better :) I feel like I am starting to get my life back together after 2 years of pain and constantly feeling uncomfortable. The staff here is wonderful! The ladies at the front desk know me by name as soon as I walk in. They always have a huge smile on their face and make me feel welcomed. I would also recommend Becky as well. Both Joanne and Becky have helped me while I have been apart of Sarton.
