male patient chronic pelvic pain, pudendal neuralgia solutions

By: Julie Sarton, PT, DPT, WCS

These last few weeks have been ultra-exciting for us at Sarton Physical Therapy!

We have had two out of town male patients here for intensive treatment for pudendal neuralgia. Both did beautifully & made huge gains propelling them forward on their healing journey.

Meet Scott in from Iowa. He came to us with Pudendal Neuralgia seeking hope and healing. He has suffered for almost a year with saddle region burning and numbness that started while training for a 225 mile, day-long cycling race across the state of Wisconsin. After his 2-week stay in Orange County during which he received intensive treatment at Sarton PT, he saw huge improvements in symptoms and had pain free periods longer than ever before. We are celebrating his amazing success & will continue to support Scott from a distance through telehealth sessions & collaboration with his local PT back home.

Despite what you may read, know healing from pudendal neuralgia can happen. While the journey is often long & challenging it is possible- we have seen patients get to the other side time and time again over the last 18 years. An important consideration to understand is that every case is unique making each treatment plan different across the board. There is no exact cookie cutter approach to treating PN & pelvic pain in general as every nervous system, brain & body are wired differently.
